Hotel Elbiente in Rathen

The hotel is only a few meters from the Elbe and the ferry terminal - if possible, book a room with a river view. As far as we could assess, the "Elbiente" is almost completely barrier-free. A real "must" is the brine pool with color change and 'bubble' 😁 The rooms are equipped with bathrobes and slippers. Higher pillows are available on request; the existing ones were a bit too flat for us. The area can be hiked and although it is located in Saxon Switzerland, you don't need to be a chamois.

Eat very well in Rathen. Not cheap but fresh and tasty ideas on your plate.

We booked a 2 room apartment in the middle of Rathen on the right of the Elbe through the hotel. The view is fantastic! And we also have enough space! Unfortunately there is no WiFi. We took our half board at the Hotel Elbiente on the banks of the Elbe, which has WiFi, but not always available! The breakfast is very good, the dinner is better in the sister hotel Elbschlösschen. Unfortunately, there are no homemade cakes.

Great taste. Always something special with every dish. For hungry people better with a starter. The dishes are very good value for money. Great staff. Nice view of and terrace on the Elbe.

This year we stayed from September 24th to September 28th in this very nice hotel. Hotel is very recommendable, especially cleanliness and the modern rooms and the location we really liked. Wellness area was also very nice and breakfast was more than adequate. You can also eat very well in the hotel. Special thanks to the maids who were very cheerful and friendly every day and kept the rooms perfectly clean. Full recommendation for this modern chic hotel.

We were there for lunch after a long hike! Very pleasant and informal atmosphere. Service perfect and food very tasty! All in all consistent and recommendable!

The food was very good, the terrace was fantastic, the service was generally okay. The only thing I would wish for was that the service would also wear mouth and nose protection, especially when leaning over the table to clear or put things down. A face mask is not enough.

Super delicious food and one a staff. Although we came dripping wet from hiking, we were welcomed without hesitation. The little one immediately got something to paint.

Hotel to be recommended. The rooms are modern, clean and the staff friendly. The ferry crossing to the parking lot on the other side of the Elbe is a bit annoying. Breakfast very good, as usual in the hotel category. Unfortunately, the restaurant for dinner falls a little. The Saxon-Swiss sausage salad was excellent, the garlic soup was very thin. For the main courses, the pork knuckle was quite small with a large layer of fat under the skin. And all cooked and not fried until crispy. With the pikeperch fillet there was no cherry tomato instead of the dish written on, but pumpkin, and neither was it pointed out when ordering or when serving. And both pieces of pikeperch fillet contained many bones. Shouldn't actually appear with fillet.

Nice ambience. The food was not what you expect. Very nicely presented? Nice deco ... but not the taste we had hoped for.

Super located hotel with committed and friendly staff, who also take special requests at short notice, thank you again. Breakfast and restaurant meet expectations. The rooms surprise with their very modern and extravagant furnishings.

Nice view of the Elbe, attentive service, small creative menu. We opted for the daily offer, plaice with fried potatoes and beef strips in a cream sauce and potato florets ... price between 16-19 € completely ok! It was delicious and we felt good, including the dog;)

What a great hotel with a fantastic view of the Elbe. The room and the food were just great. The staff was super nice and accommodating. Thanks again for the beautiful breakfast table on our wedding day. Made very lovingly. You definitely have my further recommendation.

Wanted to have a drink on the terrace and were turned away so unfriendly. The sound makes the music. Presumably the store can close soon because of wealth.

I have never visited the hotel itself, but I always like to visit the restaurant of this hotel. There is a very nice service, a great menu, changing daily specials and terrificly prepared dishes. The kitchen has been very good here for years. Despite the chic decor, there is an informal atmosphere, I always enjoy eating here. 👍👍

Very nice hotel right on the Elbe. Great starting point for hikes in Saxon Switzerland or to relax in the very nice wellness area with great treatments. Service very friendly and very nice rooms.

Only the restaurant is rated: Finally a restaurant in which you can get by without the usual side dishes such as frozen fries etc. Fine dining in the best location at an unexpectedly fair price! Absolutely recommendable for connoisseurs, portion size is okay, but not for someone who expects to splurge, like the Greek.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars for this hotel. Clean, nice room with a view of the Elbe, extensive breakfast, very good kitchen with reasonable prices. Especially positive for me is the consistently very attentive and always friendly staff noticed 😅 Personally, the mattresses were a bit too hard but that's a matter of taste.

The hotel is located on the shore of the Elbe river. The view from the terrace or from the rooms facing the river is romantic. The hotel has a small heated pool, spa, sauna, steam room. All very nice.

Lovely quiet location ( in March anyway ), cosy and very well appointed hotel, friendly and helpful staff, pleasant small wellness area ( we absolutely loved the Brine Pool ), easy access to hikes. A really relaxing visit.

Hotel and service are ok. The location is great for lots of different hikes.

Good food near the riverside, not too expensive. Only bad point was no air nor AC inside and was a really hot day

We went there just to have some drinks (aperol apritz and beers) which were very nice! Good view of the river. Cons: staff was not very good at english. We ordered a Carpaccio and just 1 fork was given, we then asked for more and brought us just 1 more, and we were 4 people so we had to ask for 2 more for a 3rd time. NO wi-fi, just for the guests.

The food at the restaurant was exactly what I needed after a tiring hike. The staff was very courteous and helpful (as long as you could get their attention), when I expressed concern over not having tasted crayfish before, they brought me some before they prepared the meal.
